i have set my setting of ‘you can create and join clubs’ to allow yet i can still not...

I can't join clubs even tho my settings says that i can create and join clubs i still can't and get an error message saying i should change it.

Can anybody help me?

And you have a golden membership? Only with the golden membership you can go to the club. If you do not have it, you can not join it.

Another issue might be in your privacy settings and you do not have that content allowed.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Can you confirm if you’re still getting an error when trying to access Realm Stories? On what platform do you play? Have you already tried to sign out your Microsoft account then sign back in?

So the specific setting you might be looking for is around Xbox Clubs. You need to make sure the setting for "You can create and join clubs". Creating the realm is tied to the club system and needs to be turned on. If you have that set to allowed, and

This was breaking me. But with hours of searching and trying different things this was the key:

To join a Realm in the first place, the xbox setting You can create and join Clubs must be set to Allow.

So even though I had allowed my child to join multiplayer games, they still could not join my Realm.

You can adjust Join Clubs on the Xbox One console or in a browser.

Xbox One Console:

Login as the parent/adult in the family

Account > Family Settings

Choose child's profile

Privacy & online safety

Xbox Live privacy

View details & customise

Friends & clubs

You can create and join clubs: ALLOW

Communication & multiplayer

You can join multiplayer games: Allow

You can play with people outside of Xbox Live: Allow

In a Browser:

Privacy Settings

Choose the Child Account you wish to amend

Choose Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety

Adjust the following:

You can play with people outside of Xbox Live: Allow (not sure if this is needed, but as Minecraft is cross-platform I adjusted this)

You can create and join clubs: ALLOW

You can join multiplayer games: Allow

The above settings, and I think you also need to have "you can create and join clubs" and "you can join multiplayer games" set to "Allow" as well.
