    I recently bought Rainbow Six Siege, specifically the Deluxe Edition. I don't see why I have to buy gamepass to play online if I own the game. If I do need to buy gamepass, what's the point of buying the game in the first place? If the absolute only way to play is by buying gamepass to unlock multi-player, then with this logic, I think they should completely rid of buying games with money and instead just have to buy through/with gamepass.

    you have purchased a console that was subsidized up to an including several hundred dollars. If you had bought a equivalent PC the Xbox series X came out, it would've cost you $1200, not $500

    One of the ways this money is returned through subscriptions. All consoles require you to pay to play online. As the previous post said

    Not all games are available on Game Pass or all levels of Game Pass. They're also not guaranteed to remain on Game Pass. So if a game were to leave you'd have to buy the game anyway. You can also just subscribe to Core instead of a higher tier to save money if you own the games. Playstation and Nitendo also charge to play online.

    Its not a scam & when you bought those games you knew full well that you needed Xbox Live Gold in order to play them. So its not a scam.

    Why would Xbox Support tell you to post a scam website on a PUBLIC forum for someone else to potentially go there and be scammed as well? They have been known to do similar things in the past, but surely you'd have enough common
    sense to not expose a scam to more people?
