Xbox setup questions - active hours & storage

Hello, I wanted to ask a few questions please. First of all, the option ‘when Xbox is off, storage turns off’ option - does that apply to the official Seagate expansion card for Xbox or is that not affected by this option and games and apps will update regardless?

Finally, I have put my Xbox to sleep mode but set up active hours on the console so it should switch off to energy saving outside of those hours? The Xbox app constantly shows standby mode on but I think it is working because outside of those hours the Xbox logo shows and it takes longer than an instant start up? Does that mean the Xbox is shutting down outside of active hours?

I just went to turn it on inside active hours and it booted up straight away.

Hi OnlyAlex22, my name is Joel, I'm here to help you with any problems or questions you may have.

OnlyAlex22, if you have the "Energy Saving" mode configured, the console does not turn off completely, although with fewer active functions than the "instant start" mode, so if you have automatic updates activated, they will be downloaded to the internal SSD and the expansion card without problems even when the console is turned off.

On the other hand, if you configured active periods or hours, effectively during the hours outside of those configured the console will be turned off or with the minimum active functions according to the configured power mode.

You don't access the Cloud storage on the Xbox One. It's managed automatically, and is not user accessible.

Are you talking all save games, or just a few? As mentioned can try a power cycle. Also is your xbox live subscription active. If for some reason it ran out and unable to get, you will not have access to the cloud while it is not active. Here is a link going

To use cloud storage for your saved games, you need:

An Xbox Live Gold subscription
A console connected to the Xbox Live service
514 megabytes (MB) of storage space on your console (local cache)
