My xbox 1 won't auto connect with wifi I have to reset router every time. I live in a place...

My mom says that I need to turn off the wifi router every night but when I turn on my router and I turn on my xbox my xbox won't connect to the wifi so I have to restart my xbox kinda every day so it connect to the wifi and it's really annoying so what can I do to fix it?

I am sorry to hear about this issue. I'd like to ask if this issue occurs when you try to connect your Xbox via data connection on your phone via HotSpot? If it's working via HotSpot, I suggest adding Xbox Live ports on your router.

all of a sudden, my XBox also didn't see my Wifi any more Other WIFI networks it detected. Repeated reset of XBox and Router didn't help.

Then I started WiFi Analyzer on the PC. The router was on auto-channel and had picked 2.4GHz channel 13. As I live in Europe that's fine. However, we moved from the US and only recently changed the region for the XBox from USA. In North America, 2.4GHz only
has channels 1-11. After I fixed the WIFI-channel of the router to 11, by magic the XBox could connect again.

I'm also having WiFi issues with my dual frequency router. Every other device in the house works fine but my Xbox has trouble connecting. If I reset the connection it works but that requires manually entering the WiFi password again. I have tried restarting
the Xbox or router, that sometimes works but is hit or miss.

Yes, I tried what you last posted and still no avail

And they sent me the same router, and it fails when ip address is set to auto

and yes, if I use my laptop's wifi to connect to xbox live (using a cord running from laptop to xbox) I can connect.

if I use the cord to run to my router, it won't assign it anything... even though the cord is good.
