    Hello everyone,

    I hope someone can help with this issue I'm facing. I'm trying to install Halo Infinite on my Windows 11 PC, but I keep encountering an error with the code 0x80070005. I've already made sure that my system meets all the game requirements and that I've updated my Windows to the latest version.

    I've also attempted a few common troubleshooting steps like restarting my PC, checking file permissions, and temporarily disabling my firewall and antivirus programs, yet the error persists.

    Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a solution? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Error code: (0x80070102)

    it was installed on C: originally , I already had a partition on that disk with nothing on it and its ntfs. I dont have windows 11. After installing the game to the partition the result was the same Error code: (0x80070102)

    so why does halo infinite work great from the steam installation but wont even load on the windows installation?

    Error code 0x80070005 is an access denied error. Did you take this other drive from a different PC or previous Windows install?

    Error 0x80070005 is an 'access denied' error code. It means that games and apps can't be installed due to file access restrictions.

    Did you use D:\ drive on a previous PC or previous install of Windows 10?

    Games and Apps on Windows 10 Store install to a folder called 'WindowsApps', if this folder already exists on your drive, you won't be able to install games.

    my pc cant upgrade to windows 11 , it doesn't meet the requirements.

    Is it possible that halo infinite also requires windows 11 components?

    I got this error and tried a few things. What I got Halo Infinite to work was this:

    After an uninstall and reinstall of Halo Infinite I did this:

    Open powershell\terminal (win 11) as administrator and run this command:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers

    I rebooted my machine

    I tried launching Halo Infinite and a Windows store window popped up and I had to install Xbox Gaming services which I did and the campaign was available

    I noticed a few days ago that the latest update to gaming services was just spinning in my microsoft store window. I think a messed up update went to xbox gaming services

    I didnt think it was this because I am in the Beta Channel of win 11 updates but I am working now.
