Controller keeps disconnecting from Xbox Series X

I've been experiencing issues with my Xbox Series X controller continuously disconnecting during gameplay. It usually happens randomly, causing a lot of frustration, especially during intense gaming sessions. I've tried updating the controller firmware and ensuring the console is properly synced, but the problem persists. I've also replaced the batteries, so I'm certain it's not a power issue. Is there something else I should try or maybe a setting I’m missing that might resolve this issue? Any advice or solutions from the community would be greatly appreciated!

Check the forum or just google "XBOX Series X disconnects from wifi". Tons of threads here and on reddit since the launch.

Connecting the controller with a USB cable doesn't work,

Controller still disconnects even with a USB cable connected,

I have the same issue with Series X using mouse and keyboard for Call of Duty Vanguard.

I played during the beta and there was no problems with the controller disconnecting but as soon as the game released, the controller disconnects,

I've tried a Xbox One controller Series X controller, with batteries and a USB cable, and the controllers still disconnects.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Xbox controller. Does this happen whenever you're connected through USB cable or just when connected wirelessly through Bluetooth? Do you have a different controller to test and compare so we can see if the issue is coming from your console or directly from the controller?

As part of our initial troubleshooting, please power cycle your controller: Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds until the controller turns off. Wait a few seconds, and then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on.

I'm playing on a PC, this isn't a Forza issue, it's a Windows/Firmware/Compatibility issue, the controller disconnects even if i'm not in any games.
A lot of people have this issues on PC, for some it works fine in some games, and in others it keeps getting disconnected, and for most it just disconnects regardless of game or not.

It's been an issue since Xbox One controllers, and day Series X

Ive had the baseline controllers for years and keep holding back from pulling the trigger (get it?) for an elite controller. When the series 2 came out, I was ready to go get one, but the fervor died off with reports of disconnecting.

Right now I’m still waiting to get an elite. I plan on it sometime this year, maybe with the Series X
