Unable to update a Xbox 360 game.

I been meaning to play the old legacy edition of Minecraft but when I go to boot the game, it says it requires an update, but a couple seconds into the update, it pops up with a message saying update failed, the progress bar did not move, it gave me a code “4497-0000-D080-0200-8007-2741” I’m just trying to figure out what happened or how I can fix it, I’ve checked my WiFi, storage, restarted, and reinstalled but is still happening. I’m doing this on a Xbox 360 slim. I don’t remember much about the Xbox 360 and wondering if before a game updates should it disconnect you from Xbox live?

How do I get updates? I have xbox 360 and bought outlaw golf....I also paid 139.00 for a hard drive to play old games on the 360, still unable to.

Hi Diego,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues updating a game. For us to isolate your issue, please make sure all power cables are firmly seated in your modem, gateway, or router. You can also test your connection by going to Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings > Test network connection.

Once confirmed, you can try removing your account from the console and then re-adding it:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts

Select your account and confirm removal

Restart your console

Re-add your account by selecting Profile & system, then Add or switch, and then Add new

If you're still having issues after these steps, please do the following:

1. For five minutes, unplug the power cable from your gateway, modem, or router.

Restart the console.

2. After reconnecting the modem or gateway, watch for all of the lights to come back to normal.

3. After connecting your router, watch for all of the lights to come back to normal.

4. Check your connection once more.

If you're on Wi-Fi:

1. Verify the strength of your signal.

2. A signal intensity of less than 20% may result in issues with connectivity.

3. Look for any wireless interference.

4. Wireless signals can be weakened by materials like glass, concrete, and insulation.

You could try:

1. Relocating your router or console to reduce interference

2. Disabling or relocating equipment that might impede

3. Relocating electronics away from desks or entertainment cabinets

Lastly, use an ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi to make sure that you'll get the optimal internet connectivity.

been there tried all the suggested ways to fix the problem, NOTHING works, the patch has corrupted something in my xbox 360 slim. hence it is unable to download any updates for any game
