My controller used to work with laptop now it does not why?

Hi king, sorry to hear you're having difficulty with your controller.

Are you on Windows 10 or 11? Are you connecting with Bluetooth or USB?

Restarted your PC and checking for Windows updates.

If you're using Bluetooth, try disabling Bluetooth on your other devices, removing the controller from your laptop by right-clicking and choosing 'Forget', then reconnect the controller.

If you're using USB, try a different port on your laptop.

I believe it may only be infrared in controlling the xbox 360. but the controller is a universal remote. and it has a Media Centre button which has been on computers way before the xbox 360 was even created.

There is just no other explanation for why I can control my HP Vista Home Premium Laptop Computer. My HP Laptop came with its own little remote. That sticks into the side of the laptop. My laptop has a IR sensor on the front but I disabled it. Now the Remote
that came with the Laptop doesn't work but the 360 Remote still does.

I already tried troubleshooting guide without succces...

It does connect Bluetooth on my laptop, but i don't have any Bluetooth capability the desktop computer i use to play games, that's why i need the adapter.

I tried on my laptop just to check that controller was working properly.

But the controller only does this when i plug it to my laptop . If i plug it to my pc it works good

Yes, all up to date. And weirdly enough.. i've installed the PC Gamepass App on my Windows Laptop... AND the controller does not work on their either. Strange! This controller works fine if i use the XBox Gamepass app via android devices.
