Can I use two riffmaster guitar controllers on one xbox?

Can I play rock band using Xbox series X controller without the need of a guitar or can I use a my guitar hero guitar from my Xbox one

I got rocksmith 2014 for guitar tutor which isn't offer in Xbox One. I guess it's possible to run 360 in one of tv's hdmi inputs without Kinects and Xbox One in another hdmi so I can easily switch between the two. Is that doable with One control ing tv.

It was $10 for the game and two controllers at toys r us. I figured it was worth the risk.
