Steam games displaying in my recently played list (Xbox app for PC)

can you play steam games on the xbox if you dont have a wireless display?How would you do that?

Are you asking about "stream games" through the xbox app. Or actual PC games via Steam. The later you can't do.

I am looking for clarification on how exactly the xbox wireless display app works. Can it connect to my pc/mac and play my steam library through the console? Or does it just mirror it. From the dicussion ive seen it looks like it just mirrors the pc and
doesnt actually use the console itself to play the games. Im trying to figure out if I can run my steam library on the xbox series s.

What I would do is to exit Steam completely when you are playing an Xbox app game. I had a similar issue recently. I was trying to play Among Us with my controller on my PC and it started rapidly switching between controller and keyboard+mouse input to the point where I could barely move. Steam was open in the background, so I went down to the bottom right of the taskbar and clicked the up arrow, then right clicked Steam and clicked Exit Steam. The reason this happened was because of Steam controller remapping interfering with the direct input of controls to the PC.

As the other people have stated you are unable to play your Steam games on your Xbox console. You are only able to play Xbox play anywhere titles on your PC as well as remote stream your Console onto your PC but not the other way around.

The new Microsoft’s Wireless Display app allows you to go from pc to console.

However, my question is really does the app mean that the game is actually being played by the console (ie Better RAM/Graphics)?
