  1. Game Pass Ultimate not sharing with family members on Xbox Series X

    Hi everyone,

I’ve been experiencing an issue with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate not sharing with my family members on our Xbox Series X. I’ve set up my account as the home Xbox, and my Game Pass Ultimate subscription is active. However, my family members are unable to access Game Pass games on their profiles.

I've tried the basic troubleshooting steps, like restarting the console and checking for any subscription-related issues, but the problem still persists. Has anyone else encountered this issue and found a solution? Any guidance would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

    :)

Gamepass sharing multiplayer limitations for Family accounts?

    It’s the Ultimate version

I should say that my son has his own account/Xbox gamer tag.

I’m sharing the Ultimate pass with him as a family member.

Game Pass Ultimate not sharing with family members on Xbox Series X

    Hi Julio,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues sharing your games using your Game Pass Ultimate to your family members.

Did you make your console your home Xbox? Making a console your home Xbox gives friends and family access to your games and content when you're not signed in. Your home Xbox also lets you play your digital games offline.

If you want to make a different console your home Xbox:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalisation, and then select My home Xbox.

Do either of the following to change the status of your console:

To make this your home Xbox, select Make this my home Xbox.

When you switch your home Xbox, your shared licences will no longer be available to others playing on your old home console. You'll need to be signed in online to your old Xbox console to allow them to play your games and apps (when you're not on your new home console). Your ability to play games while offline will also shift to your new home console. Redownloading or launching any games on the new home console will register the licence to that console allowing for offline use.

You can switch your home Xbox up to five times in any one-year period. If you reach your limit for the year, we'll show you the next available date you can change it.

Please see this article for complete information about how game sharing works.

Just upgraded to series X but can't make it home xbox

Because my 2 kids now share ultimate game pass or whatever is called this really isn't much use.

When the older son had his xbox one the 2 boys could share the gold pass and ultimate pass etc but now he has upgraded to x series these features are no longer shared between the 2 kids.

All I want is what they had when they both had xbox ones is to hVe the same now one has upgraded to x series.

My son has an Xbox and my daughter has a laptop. Can they both use the ultimate game pass? If so, how?

    Hi Barry!

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. We're here to help and let's work on this together.

Yes, your son and daughter can both use the same Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. The subscription allows for up to six family members to access the games and benefits included in the subscription.

To set this up, you will need to create a Microsoft family group and add both your son and daughter to the group. Once they are added, you can share the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription with the family group.

To share the subscription, sign in to your Microsoft account and go to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate page. From there, select "Manage" and then "Share to a family member." Choose the family member you want to share with and follow the prompts to complete the process.

Your son and daughter will then be able to access the games and benefits included in the subscription on their respective devices.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Greetings,

    RodelioP.
