Problems connecting to Xbox Live through mobile hotspot

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble connecting my Xbox to Xbox Live when using a mobile hotspot on my phone. My phone is running on Android, and I'm on a [specific carrier] network. The connection seems to work fine for a few minutes, but then it just disconnects, and I can’t reconnect unless I restart the hotspot. I've tried turning the phone off and back on and resetting the network settings, but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue or could offer some advice? Any suggestions on how to make this connection more stable would be greatly appreciated.

I had some problems too while using 5G. I tried 4G then and it works fine.

I've been using my mobile hotspot to connect to xbox live and watch Netflix and YouTube through the TV apps on Xbox.Today my phone had a software update and now my Xbox won't connect to my hotspot anymore. Any ideas?

If your Xbox can connect to your Hotspot, the game should download. Do be warned though that if you're using a Mobile Hotspot, downloading games can eat through your data.

I tried to connect via Mobile HotSpot to Iphone (Czech Republic, T-Moblile), and through this connection I joined Xbox Live. Unfortunately this is not possible to play because I expect a big data transfer ...
