    Will disc data from old gen transfer to digital new gen?


    So I had an Xbox One and I had GTAV/GTA Online on disc. I got the Xbox Series X, I'm gonna be getting GTAV/GTA Online for Series X|S through the store. I'm just wanting to know if the data will transfer from old gen disc to new gen digital and if so how do I do it or is it automatically if I just sign in.

    Hi there, according to the following website, DLC may transfer from last gen to next gen (same console family only). However, it also says "for a limited time only", and states only certain DLC. It states: "To be specific, the three things that this deal
    includes are the Destiny Digital Base Game, Digital Guardian Edition, and the Expansion Pass".

    My online character was transferred but my single player wasn't

    The online follows the rockstar cloud, which can go from XBOX 360 to XBOX 360, in this case old gen to new gen, XBOX 360 to XBOX One/PS4.

    The single player follows the hard drive, and can only be transferred from XBOX 360 to XBOX 360. The single player mode can not be transferred to the new gen consoles.

    The goal of the cable is that you can go from your OLD console to a new gen xbox 360 console. The cable is not made to install games on that hard drive, only transfer data from one disk to the other. I hope this helped you.
