    So my son has been locked out of his Microsoft account, did not realise he still had my old mobile number tied to it so not able to access a code! We have tried lots of recovery attempts but just flat refusal each time. He is unable to access his xbox account so the live I am paying for is useless, also has various college info on his hotmail email which he cannot access. I have sent over card details etc but no joy. Seems like no way to speak to anyone! Had a similar problem with paypal but managed to sort with them after an ID check and Bank reset details after checks. Anyone have any suggestions as it seems bonkers that they do not do any sort of ID verification process to aid recovery.

    Why not buy a subscription from 1 of the websites ?

    I know you were wanting to use your microsoft balance but you can get a 12 month sub for like £25 or you could the other day.

    Be cheaper too.
