Why has my minecraft account been replaced with another one, and how can I get my old one back?

Thanks for getting back to me, but that isn't my problem, I think my old Minecraft account has been overwritten with a new one when I reset my password.

Something I noticed on a different computer that used to have my old gamertag account logged in. Was that the new gamertag that doesn't own Minecraft said "active", and the old, good account didn't have "active" and when I clicked the 3 dots to open a drop down menu for the account it said "Set as active." but when I clicked that and typed in the credentials for the account it said "welcome _____________" where the blank is the new, bad gamertag. Which brings me back to a point that I mentioned in my first post, my old Minecraft account I think has been overwritten with a new one when I reset my password.

I have tried a lot of things, but I think the only was to fix this is if there is a way that somebody can access my old account and re-establish it as the main one linked to my Microsoft account.

I have also contacted Minecraft support and am waiting for a response.

That's mental, surely you can change an email address on an account, so why can't i get rid of the old email address and have my new one replace it?

I got a new one sent out to me and sent the old one back. Its replacement has no issues. The blue one though developed a loose panel

Ok so I found out that I didn’t buy the Minecraft in this account but on another. I switched from my Xbox 360 to my new Xbox One S. But this account got locked until like March 1st 2021 so I made a new one. With my sons name and my name. But I removed the account from the Xbox and signed in with the old one. But Minecraft still worked. So I deleted it. But when I wanted to redownload it. It wasn’t free. Also I forgot the username of the account and this account and the other one are both tied to the same email. Can I get the username back with the email?

U should check if u own Minecraft Xbox one edition check if it has a popup that says

u have been playing Minecraft Xbox one edition for Certain days u can get this new Minecraft for free

And once u tap to get Minecraft u will be redirected to the Xbox store Minecraft will be free

I don't get anything, I know I've had hundreds of hours in Minecraft xbox one edition. It might have been through another profile owning it on the same console in the past. Regardless it should either say "owned" or "purchase price". But it all it says is
"get trial".

I don't want a trial.. or this new free Minecraft.

Why is this so difficult.. I just want the original xbox one edition minecraft where I can continue my saves and achievement progress.
