My old Gamertag is still there but it hasn't been changed to my new Gamertag help me out please

Your previous name is saved for 37 days. This gives you an additional week to change back if you change your mind before your previous username becomes available to anyone else. Can you please provide more information about your question regarding the 48 days?

Gamertags has been updated - all new players or those who wish to changed gamertags will now have a n auto generated suffix at the end of their new gamertags. Old gamertags that hasn't been changed are not affected.

my gamertag has been changed for no reason . I was playing my xbox and then realised that my name had been changed and I didn’t do it or either did my friends ? Please help

It sounds like you’ve had a forced gamertag change. If you don’t like it then you’ll be able to buy a new one but your old gamertag won’t be available.

kinda same issue here.

so two years ago i deleted my ms account now two years late got a xbox one and created a new account but now i want my old gamertag back so thinking my old account had been deleted i tried to change my gamertag to my old gamertag but got a message that
"that gamertag has already been taken" then i searched about that gamertag and found out that my old account hadnt been deleted yet and then when i tried to log in to my old account it said " there is no account by that email address". so i guess that old
ms account got deleted but not the xbl account as i can still see my old gamertag,acchivement,account description and all.so is there any way to recover that old xbl account or the gamertag now by deleting that old xbl account so that gamertag be available
to put in my new account?

im searching for a solution too.let me know if u find one.

If it has non-Latin characters then it probably has changed (you can verify in the Xbox app), but anywhere that the new gamertag policy hasn't been updated will show your old gamertag.
