    Monitor shows black screen when connected to Xbox


    Hi so I have a Xbox One S when every I turn it on the individual Xbox turns on but the monitor is just a black screen. The HDMI port works just fine and it plugged in the correct space. The other thing is when ever I try to change my monitor resolution from 420p to 1080p it just completely doesn’t let me access it I have a lg monitor 24M47VQ. Any help?

    Hi Benjamin,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues setting up the resolution of your Xbox. I understand that you are getting black screen.

    As part of our troubleshooting, have you tried connecting your Xbox to a different monitor to confirm it will not experience any display issues?

    Try to enable overscan feature of your monitor:

    1 To view the OSD menu, press the joystick button at

    the bottom of the monitor and then enter the Menu.

    2 Go to Picture by moving the joystick then select "Overscan" while your xbox is connected and turned on.
