Xbox One S extremely slow.

Kindly hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off the console, then unplugging it for a few minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on.

Restart your modem/router too in order for it to refresh.

And make that your Xbox console is up to date. Sometimes, updates can fix compatibility issues. Go to Settings > System > Updates and check for any available updates.

Please make sure that your console is in a well-ventilated area and not covered by anything.

Next is to check your hard drive. If your Xbox One S freezes or crashes frequently, there may be a problem with your hard drive. To fix this issue kindly use the Xbox One Storage Troubleshooter. Go to Settings > System > Storage > Troubleshooter.

If you have an external hard drive connected, temporarily disconnect it and see if the performance improves.

If that doesn't work for you, do you get a chance to do a factory reset? This will do a complete cleaning of the system. Just remember to save your information (accounts, passwords, etc.) so you don't lose them.

I have factory reset keeping mu games....this didnt fix it. I factory reset losing my game this didnt fix it. Seriously what’s wrong my S isnt even a year old.

I always do a reboot when this happens which isn't often but I always do one after an update.

Always manually quit what ever you are doing when you have finished using them.

We are having problems right now in the preview program with lag with apps, hopefully they get it sorted soon when its running properly you cant beat it.
