Destiny 2 gift code

So today I bought a digital code of destiny 2: legacy collection for my friend. He plays on xbox only and I bought it on the microsoft store on my pc. what it didnt tell me is that it is the PC version when I sent it via email. Since he cant use it now we wanted to get a refund. How do I go about doing that since there is no way that I can see to refund it on the microsoft site? Or does this code work for both PC and xbox? Thanks in advance.

You'd have to request a refund, however, if your friend redeemed the code, it is not eligible for a refund. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders

I'm sorry to hear that you gifted the wrong platform for the Destiny Legacy Collection DLC. Unfortunately destiny 2 canr.be bought on pc via xbox games for Windows 10

You can only buy it via battlenet or steam for pc aa mentioned in the link above

You would have to refund on the platform you gifted on

You can only gift the console version on the xbox network

You can download Destiny 2, and it's DLC from the Xbox app on PC. So your friend who plays on Xbox and PC can play Destiny 2 and the DLC you gifted him on the PC, as long as the PC he has is powerful enough for the game.

There is a known issue with redeeming codes for Destiny 2 DLC that were purchased as gifts. Microsoft is feverishly working on it, please monitor the thread here:
