Can't install a game activated withou PC GAME PASS in microsoft store.

Hi everybody,

A friend of mine juste offer me thegame "Sea of thieves".

So i receive an activation code and the game is activated in mi microsoft account.

Despite of the activation is completed, whenever i am in the microsoft store or in the application XBOX on computer i can't install the game and i have the only 2 options :

1) Suscribe to PC GAME PASS and play

2) buy the game for 39.99 euros

Can somebody help me throught this issue ?

I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues. Please check that the code redemption appears registered in your history here.

If you can't see it, make sure you choose the "All Available" filter and that you're logged into the correct account.

Additionally, make sure that it is actually for the game and not for some add-on.

Yes indeed the code appear in my history and this is for the game and not a DLC.

With this, i still can't download the game.

I did this too and talked with Customer Support. They said you can't play on PC with Game Pass. Even though a Sea of Thieves ad pops up at my Windows 10 start button for the Microsoft Store, and clearly says "Play Free with Game Pass" with $59.99 crossed
out. Why would this pop up on my Windows 10 PC when you can't play on PC with Game Pass? It's very misleading. Plus, now that I've activated my two-week trial on Game Pass, it's going to be wasted. They can't pause it ... I asked.

Ok, then confirm that you have the suscription active here

If it's active confirm that it's Xbox Game Pass for Pc or Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass for console won't work.

After that be sure that the account that has the suscription active its logged in the Microsoft Store app

nope, gold is not required to play any games on windows 10 this is including all xbox games that are installed on pc.

are you playing xbox console games streamed to pc, or installed games on pc.

gold is only required for console to play online, absolutely not needed for playing games via pc xbox games or any other game,.

You need an Xbox network account. ... If you bought the game on the Microsoft Store, you do not need an active Xbox Live Gold subscription to play. If you're using Game Pass for PC to access the game, you will need an active subscription for Game Pass for PC. Gold is not required to play online.
