    Xbox and Microsoft support teams have been dodging me about a refund for weeks now.

    I played sea of thieves for months and spent ~$120 on items i no longer have access to. The game company’s support team was no help at all and closed my case within hours.

    Since the game was set to update within a week or two i waited to see if my issue would be patched, it was not. So i contacted xbox support about three weeks after my first attempt to get help.

    The first person i talked to helped me through all the troubleshooting steps i had worked through already and at the end of our call stated they would “escalate this issue” and took full accountability for the game not working. I could not get in contact with this support team member again. So my case was then reset the next day with a new team member.

    They didn’t help to resolve the issue of my game not working and when i requested a refund i was then pushed further and further off by the team members.

    I was refused contact with a supervisor multiple times just today despite them telling me about an “internal policy” that required the supervisor to contact me back “within 24 hours” which was said to me yesterday.

    Every support member since then has not given nearly as much attention to my issue and has run me in circles with trouble shooting steps that do not work or make any sense.

    When i finally requested a supervisor i was denied and told they would call me. The next day still no call so i try again and find the same problem.

    Today’s experience with the support team has been the most frustrating because they pick up, i ask for a supervisor and explain why then i will be put on hold for 20-30 mins and then hung up on.

    The last attempt will be my last call to Microsoft and xbox support concerning this issue, the first lady i talked to acted like i was not even supposed to be calling about this sort of thing (despite there being no online way to handle this sort of thing) then said she would patch me through to a supervisor. 25 minutes later a man speaking Spanish answers the phone, informs me he is not a supervisor, when i asked who did i get put through to he then ended the call without saying a word to me. Keep in mind this is my second call of the day. The first call was about an hour of waiting for a supervisor only for the call to be ended by them.

    I only post this here in hopes somebody who would help me will see it and to make other people in similar predicaments aware of what type of experience they might go through if their game suddenly stops working as well.

    you cab try calling the support number 1800-4my-xbox and asking them for a refund, it shouldnt be problem as long as you have not requested a refund recently
    Phone support no longer issue a refund. All refunds have now been assigned to a specific team inside xbox support and you must fill in the refund request form
