Need to enter the 8 digit linking code to sign in to my account

You need to access the security dashboard of your Microsoft account (where you have already logged in in the past) then click on the item "Add a new sign-in method or verification" then click on the item "Use an App"

Now from the next window you will see the item "Set up the Microsoft Authenticator app", click on the item "Set up a different authentication app", now you see a window appear with the QR code to scan with the authentication app that you use.

NOTE: Once this configuration is complete, all the codes generated by the authentication app that you configured previously will no longer work.

On the Minecraft game home screen, click Sign in with a Microsoft account. This will bring up a screen providing you with a unique 8-digit code and instructing you to go to http://aka.ms/remoteconnect. Complete your sign-in by following the instructions on this site to enter the 8-digit code.

Is says sign in and go to a link but it doesn't ask me for the 8 digit code

I have an 8 digit cod and there is only a 6 and 10 digit code box
