Local save successful but cloud sync failed due to quota. How do I rectify this?

I am trying to migrate over to my new and much needed upgrade of a Series X from an original Day One Xbox One. Only problem is Minecraft. About a month ago my when saving my world of 1.2Gb (now 1.3Gb) I got an error saying "local save successful but cloud sync failed due to quota. free cloud space by deleting words from the settings menu". I briefly got the error message to go away by deleting a few saves but it eventually came back. A problem for another day. Well today's that day. And I can't fix it. I've deleted over 2Gb of data saved to the Cloud and I still can't get it to sync. I hoped that my local data would be carried over on my External Hard Drive to the Series X but upon loading Minecraft and loading the world, I am set back about 1-2 months ago in terms of progress. So I don't know what to do. And I am terrified of accidentally deleting my local data, overwriting it with the data saved in the past, or worse outright corrupting the data. This world was created after losing my Realm of 3 years due to my ignorance, where I spent the last year rebuilding what I had.

If I have to be set back a month of tedious farming of materials than so be it. But I don't want to do that.

    :)

Wordament - not syncing with the cloud

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I've tried what you mentioned by uninstalling the game and reinstalling. The last level where all was fine and my progress was being saved to the cloud was level 148 and since then it never synced.

I've now reached 150 with the past two levels not synced to the cloud. So I did what you asked and uninstalled the game, When I reinstalled it, I lost all my progress. It synced to the cloud and got me all my progress until 148 - makes sense since my progress after that never saved to the cloud due to the error.

I then played another game to further my progress and after I completed the same, again it fails to sync my progress to the cloud.

I'm now again at level 150 and I only have my local save. How do I get out of this issue and save my progress to the cloud??

Starfield running out of save game space as game save gets larger and soon won't allow saving further.

How do you play Starfield on a PC OFFLINE?

I only get the offline option when the cloud sync fails at startup.

At level 150+ my appdata folder has 694 saves, yet the UI only show the few I keep (about 6) - and manually deleting the appdata saves and keeping the last few days saves causes sync issues: with the message my cloud saves are newer than my local saves; which they aren't. There is some sort of sync bug where timestamps aren't being kept clean in the cloud. Probable something simply like my MST PC files copied to a EST server thus the timezone difference flags the cloud files as newer.

    Minecraft Save Data Problem

    Hi SwitchinXbox,

Thanks for coming to the forums again. It seems that your last save from the cloud was not your most recent save that you had saved locally. If this happens, it's usually due to the local save not being properly synced with Xbox Live servers and a soft factory
reset will clear local cache so your games will re-sync the last save you had from the cloud to your local drive.

Syncing your local saved data to the cloud is done whenever you properly quit the game or restart your Xbox which closes all open games. Keeping a game on standby and then factory resetting the Xbox will not overwrite the data properly to the cloud and it
won't have the most recent save you had saved locally. Also, you cannot go into your cloud and get a save from an earlier date because the data is constantly overwritten when the game is closed and the data syncs to have the data up to date using an automatic
    process.

Help needed to restore deleted charachter from Diablo 3 EC on my Xbox One X.

    Hello GW,

Thanks for coming to the forums. Unfortunately, there is no way for a support agent to see the contents of your cloud save. If you cleared the local save data, when you launch the game it automatically syncs with the cloud save. You would see syncing data.
If it synced and the character is not there, your cloud save was overwritten due to may of been corrupt or deleted. You can reach out to Blizzard see if they can restore it also.

However, if you been playing offline, and you deleted your local saves, then it is gone as it hasn't been uploaded to cloud.

    Hope this helps.

forza horizone 4 - sync error.

All of your local progress is gone. The progress from your last successful sync still exists in the cloud. In many games, Forza Horizon 4 one of them, the game does not save your progress until you complete the tutorial (and often a mission or two).

With clearing out the local save and the cache, you should be good to go with a fresh sync of what was on the cloud. Good luck and see you in game!
