Account Recovery Issue

I have been logged out of my Microsoft accounts and created a back up account in order to ask this question.

When I was logged out due "unusual" activity, I was asked to go through the two step authentication. the problem is that I have a new phone number that was not added to my Microsoft account so I have no way to authenticate my identity. I attempted to fill out the verification form multiple times but every time I complete the form, i immediately receive a notification email saying the verification was unsuccessful. I have submitted my Xbox Device ID and credit card info for my Xbox live subscription but those still do not work when filling out the verification form.

Is it possible to have my new phone number added in place of my old one so I can authenticate my account?

I have called every phone number I can think of in an attempt to speak with someone but keep being advised to access troubleshooting online.

I have a substantial amount money and time in my account and desperately need to access it

if you are unable to recover that account and want to stop the charge for Live Gold or Game Pass you should contact your bank or credit/debit card provider and stop the payments at that end.

this will mean that a past due balance will need to be cleared before you can make any purchases on that account should you manage to retrieve it.

Sorry that has happened to you. You can’t convince the support team to do it. If that was the case, anyone could do it. It’s always good to make sure your account is up to date to avoid security issues in the future. Xbox support over the phone will most
likely be your best bet.

Can you try deleting your gamertag from the HDD first (PROFILE ONLY!) and then give recovery another go?
