My screens going black

Thank you for the update. Can you confirm if you were able to reach the Xbox startup troubleshooter? Does your Xbox displays anything during startup? You shared that you tried to use a different monitor and you got the same results, correct?

eventually my monitor said that it neeeded to be a certain resolution and fps so I put it on the same resolution and fps but it still turns black

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your console where you don't see any display. Please follow the steps accordingly to access the Xbox startup troubleshooter:

1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

4. Press and hold the Pair button (located on the left side of the console) and the Eject button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console.

Note: The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition does not have an EJECT button. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the BIND button (steps 3 & 4) and then pressing the Xbox button .

5. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Please click on "Reset this Xbox" then "Reset and keep my games and apps".

If you still don't see any display regardless of the HDMI cable, monitor or TV, I would recommend that you create a service request ticket through this for repair or warranty claims: https://support.microsoft.com/devices

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with this issue. I can totally understand how this could be concerning. You might have to try another HDMI. I suggest trying the steps outlined in our support page

well black screen happened to me twice, but these times were different... it kept on blinking black screen and going in and out of black screen every ten seconds... eventually kicking EVERYONE out of a middle of a game...
