    i’ve had this issue for years. i’ve changed rooms, systems, controllers, everything and anything and i’m starting to think it’s not a me problem.

    anytime, like as of right now. ill sign in, get on my game, and within minutes my controller(s) is flashing with the message “please reconnect your controller”. i figured for the longest time it was because i was buying cheap throwaway controllers or controllers thatve taken a beaten through the years of playing or even the fact that i had a old series s for a handful of years and that i needed a upgrade

    fast forward today and i have the xbox one s with a elite controller and a brand new normal xbox one controller. both are fully updated and tweaked to my standards and as of right now i simply can’t play a game for more than 2 min without continuous disconnecting and reconnecting messages and flashes from the controller.

    i have so many issues with the consoles, controllers, headsets i’ve had over the years and incidents that shouldn’t be happening with new or practically new equipment. it’s frustrating knowing how much money i’ve spent on different things to get my stuff to work but here recently it’s really got to me. my equipment that isn’t cheap and controllers that are overpriced with bluetooth headsets that don’t actually work to begin with, shouldn’t be this faulty and be built terribly

    i’ve tried everything i can and i believe it’s something with xbox or maybe i just have bad luck. guess that’s my sign to move on from xbox and microsoft as a whole.

    I have this same problem, I even bought a second controller and both keep disconnecting every few seconds when playing AC4.

    I have the same problem, ill like to blame the new update ever since my xbox one when crazy, turning off by itself, ejecting my disc games and disconnecting my controller every 5 seconds help

    most likely a router issue , if your wireless , try it wired ....or visa-versa.......what is the brand and model of your modem and router ?

    Hello - My controller has this odd issue with it, for whatever reason, it briefly disconnects for like half a second-5 seconds, and instantly re-connects to my console. This happens on it's own every second-5 seconds or so, and it used to do this
    on and off, but recently it has been doing it non-stop since June 7th. I've tried purchasing a new controller, plugging it in to my console, swapping the batteries, reconnecting it to my console, checking if it is updated, yet nothing has worked. Is there
    any fix to this? Thanks

    I will say no. I can go to the "my games and apps" app after it locks up and the behavior repeats. It makes no difference in the 3 to 5 second length of the visible screen having just powered up, going right back to the app, doing a controller driven restart,
    doing a "Hold the illuminated Xbox logo" restart, or doing a full power cord disconnection restart.

    The only thing that keeps this app from quickly crashing is to disconnect my eithernet cord and not be logged into the Xbox servers.
