Problems with steam and microsoft store syncing xbox gamepass data

We understand that you are experiencing issues syncing Xbox Game Pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 between the Microsoft Store and Steam, especially when trying to use the Steam launcher. Here are some suggestions:



Run as administrator:

Right-click Steam and the Microsoft Store launcher and run as administrator. This can resolve sync issues related to files located in restricted areas of your PC.



Make sure both the Xbox app and Microsoft Store are up to date. Sometimes updating can resolve sync issues.



Sign out and sign back in:

Sign out of your Microsoft account on the Xbox app and Microsoft Store, then sign back in. This can refresh the connection and resolve sync issues.



Clear cache:

Clear the cache for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store. You can do this by running the wsreset.exe command:



Press Windows + R, type wsreset.exe, and then press Enter. This will reset the Microsoft Store cache.



Repair and reset apps:

Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, find Xbox app and Microsoft Store, and then select Advanced options. From there, you can choose to repair and reset the app.



Disable Steam Input:

Steam's controller settings can interfere with other applications. Open Steam, go to Settings > Controllers > Generic Controller Settings, and uncheck Xbox Configuration Support and Generic Gamepad Configuration Support.



Verify Game Files:

For the Call of Duty launcher on Steam, right-click the game, go to Properties > Local Files, and select Verify Integrity of Game Files. This can repair corrupt files that may be causing the problem.



Reinstall the Game:

If the above steps don't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game on both platforms. This can sometimes fix deeper issues.

it is not available on the microsoft store for pc, therefore not available in the xbox app or gamepass pc, it is purchasable on steam though.

Sync your Steam and Xbox account to your Bungie.net account. Turn on Cross Save and set your Steam account as the main account. Pay for gamepass. Login to your xbox live account on your PC's Microsoft Store and download the Microsoft Store version of D2 and all the DLC for free with said gamepass. Probably uninstall the Steam version to save ssd/hdd space. Launch the Microsoft version and if you've already set your Steam Cross Save as your primary then you should only see your Steam Guardians. All progress will be there.

Note: Silver doesn't transfer with Cross Save, but items bought with Silver do. So if you have silver either spend it, or just remember that you have Silver on Steam and login though Steam when there's something you want to buy.

The gamepass app and steam are different launchers. Then you need to download the game again in the Microsoft Store and run it through the gamepass app.

Are you playing on Steam or Windows store version? Steam won't sync with Xbox.
