Remote Play - screen tearing/visual artifacts

i'm happy with what i saw in the beta, minus a single screen tear and a little artifacting, i think it looked fine.

I was able to do remote debugging using visual studio 2017. This issue of remote debugging failure is seen only in 2015 visual studio.

So I migrated from visual studio 2015 to visual studio 2017, which solved the issue.

Resolution ***? Resolutions fine. They need to fix the fps and screen tear. It's hard to play in my eyes when it's choppy or has screen tear.

That's why this problem is so confusing to me, I've ran frametime graphs in multiple games with RTSS and its always solid at the correct intervals at a steady 240fps. The game still "feels" input wise exactly like it should at 240fps-240hz, but there are visual artifacts that appear as if they aren't. Its also not tearing, its happening to specific objects or textures within the game. It looks like specific objects in the game are moving at a lower refresh rate than the game surrounding it, and I've tried every vsync/freesync combo possible.

Yes, visual tearing is normal when vsync is disabled. The top of the screen shows one frame, the bottom the next frame. The movement between when the two frames are rendered cause what looks like a "tear" between the two.



The whirring noise is the sound of the DVD spinning through the air at a high rate of speed. If you install games to the HDD, that whirring will stop once the game's disc check completes.
