    Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Xbox One S: Purchased game in store, Game installs but says to...


    I purchased Call of Duty Black Ops 6 from GameStop last month and installed it on my Xbox One S. After it installed, the game asks to purchase the game or insert the disc to access the Campaign, Multi-Player or Zombies. I've tried:

    • Inserting the disc and re-inserting the disc (nothing happens)
    • Uninstalling the game and re-installing
    • Uninstalling the game files and re-installing them
    • Removing my Xbox account and signing back in
    • Changing my Activision email to the same email as my Xbox account
    • Completely shutting down the system and unplugging it for 1 minute
    • Shouting at the top of my lungs out of frustration

    At first, I thought that my system was too old to support the game but I was able to play it when there was a free demo this past weekend.

    I called the store to get a different disc to try but it turned out I passed the time I was able to do that trying to fix the issue myself.

    Is there anything else I can try to fix this?

    Call of Duty Black ops Upgrade to X/S

    From what I can tell, to access the Series X version of the game, you need the Cross-Gen bundle...once you buy that, you should then be able to download and install the Series X version. Without the cross-gen bundle it will, presumably, just install the XB1 version

    From the Store page:

    "For digital owners of the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War Standard Edition, this upgrade will unlock the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War Cross-Gen Bundle, giving access to the Xbox Series X|S version of the game. After upgrade purchase, search in the Xbox store for the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War - Cross-Gen Bundle to install the Xbox Series X|S version of the game."

    I'm sorry to hear about this issue. Could you please confirm which "Vault Edition" you purchased? There are two different Vault Edition versions available in the Xbox Store: These are:

    Call of Duty:registered:: Black Ops 6 - Vault Edition - https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/store/call-of-...

    - This Vault Edition is the complete package with a base game and other freebies.

    Then, there's Call of Duty:registered:: Black Ops 6 - Vault Edition Upgrade

    - https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/store/call-of-...

    - This Vault Edition doesn't have the base game. It requires existing ownership of the digital version of the Call of Duty:registered:: Black Ops 6 - Cross-Gen Bundle on Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S (sold separately), or an active subscription to select Game Pass plans (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Console).

    You can confirm which Vault Edition you have purchased on your Order History on this link https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders.

    If you have Call of Duty:registered:: Black Ops 6 - Vault Edition Upgrade, you will need to purchase the base game or own Xbox Game Pass Ultiamte or Standard Xbox Game Pass for you to play it. However, if you have the Call of Duty:registered:: Black Ops 6 - Vault Edition, please check if all contents are installed on your Xbox.
