Discus and support My XSX can't play the sea of thieves normally. in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; My XSX playing the sea of thieves always shows Lavenderbeard.     My XSX can't play the sea of thieves normally.


    My XSX playing the sea of thieves always shows Lavenderbeard. I found a way in official website, but I can't get it right.I think it may be the xbox update, because my two machines can't enter the game under different networks, but my friend's computer can use the xbox platform to enter the game.

    I don't use the cloud for any other games other than sea of thieves, as far as I can tell it's only been with sea of thieves. I normally join them instead of inviting my friend.

    Xbox Insider hub problem with network try again.

    If you're trying to play the Xbox Insider version of Sea of Thieves, then be aware that this was the closed Beta before the game launched.

    Unless they added an Insider Version after I checked two days ago, you can't play that version, as the servers don't accept the Sea of Thieves Beta client anymore.

    You will have to buy the actual game, or have an active Game Pass subscription to be able to play Sea of Thieves.

    Maybe it's a Sea of Thieves setting as I haven't seen anything yet in Xbox Game Bar that uses SHIFT+F. Unfortunately I don't play Sea of Thieves on PC so I can't check that to confirm for you.

    Are you sure this is not the beta?? If it is so, it's normal you couldn't play, cause the beta closed on 31st of January

    What controller do you have?

    I have:

    • An Elite v1
    • Standard XB1 v2
    • One of the earlier camo ones from before the v2 models
    • PDP Titanfall 2 BT controller
    • Sea of Thieves Limited Controller (my favorite)

    I use the Sea of Thieves on most, but my Elite Controller gets a decent amount of use. Especially for Halo because I've gotten so used to playing it with the paddles and custom layout I use that it's hard to play with a normal controller.
