    GTA 4 isn’t playable on Xbox Series X anymore?


    Hi. So I bought GTA 4 for my Xbox one back in 2018 when it became backwards compatible. And I’ve been able to play it on my series X too… until today, I tried playing the game but it says “Sorry, this game isn’t playable here”

    Is this an error or did you guys remove the game?

    I have Xbox one x, want to buy GTA v for Xbox one x|s for $39.99

    When hovering over the buy button in Microsoft store on GTA v series x|s a small text bar appears saying. This is not playable on this device.

    I have Xbox one x.

    But the store says GTA v series x|s is not playable on my Xbox one x.

    Xbox s and x register as normal xbox ones

    Since you tried to install the next gen version of GTA Online, and it said it wasn't playable on this device means you got an Xbox One console, not a Series X or S.

    Bring Gotham City Imposters to Backward Compatibility

    The backwards compatibility team is working on the Series X so there won't be anymore games from the 360/original Xbox made back compatible until after the Series X launch.

    That said, I would love to see Gotham City Impostors made playable on the Series X. That game was so much fun!
