I cant enable minecraft multiplayer can someone help me?

Ive been trying for the past year to enable minecraft multiplayer, ive tried everything but it hasnt paid off.... For context i am 18 so an adult, not linked as a child in an xbox or microsoft family and ive tried the links minecraft, xbox and microsoft gave me. It just says i cant change these setting, but im not in a family! Its a year and many tears of frustration later and i really hope someone can help me since ive talked to the xbox help desk but they said i have to talk to microsoft but i cant find any help. (I have also tried the microsoft AND xbox family app)

Hi! I play on pc. In minecraft it says "You can't play online multiplayer games because of your Microsoft account settings. Make sure Multiplayer is allowed in your online safety settings. Visit aka.ms/MCMultiplayerHelp for instructions on how to adjust these settings."

But when i click on it, it sends me to a website that says this.

But when i click on that first link it sends me to the microsoft family page, i am the only one in there.

if you're on console, you're required to have an online subscription to play it online. If you're on PC, what exactly is the error message that you get?

I'm already talking with someone. What's odd is that she told me how to enter in preferences and enable (again) online multiplayer gaming, and I can play other games like L4D2 online, but Minecraft does not allow me to play multiplayer online.

Sign in with your account at Xbox.com, then click your profile icon in the top right of the page.

- From the dropdown click the three dots and then Xbox Settings.

-That will take you to a page that has your Privacy & Online Safety Settings, from there you can toggle everything to 'Allow'.
