    I can’t seem to get Java edition on my PC although I paid for bedrock on console.


    I’ve been trying to download Java but it’s not letting me, I bought the bedrock game on my PS5 and connected it to my Microsoft/xbox account. It says if I have bedrock on console I can get Java but for some reason it’s just saying “trial” or buy. Please help me out, I shouldn’t have to pay another $30 for a game I already have.

    It seems that the only bundles you can purchase are the Minecraft: Java & Bedrock edition for PC and Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition Deluxe collection.

    Hi Victor. I don’t know how you played Java in the past. Maybe it was via game pass.
    But if the game doesn’t appear purchased in your order history, it means that you don’t know it.

    About the Xbox edition, yes. It’s bedrock, but it’s the Bedrock for Xbox, not Windows

    The free Java edition was granted to the people who purchased Bedrock for windows.
    Any other platform is not eligible, only PC (and the opposite if you owned Java)

    I have a similar problem for one of my daughters. The purchase does *not* show up in her billing history although her MSA recognises she has the Bedrock Edition on 4 different PCs! On one PC (Win10) the launcher recognises she has Java edition but fails when I click on as it asks for a username for Java edition and then doesn't accept it with 'Failed to create profile'. On another PC (Win11) it just gives the 'Play demo' option for Java edition. There is a box in the corner that says 'you own Bedrock redeem your copy of Java on the store' but when I click through I get the same situation as above.

    This is driving me nuts!

    (BTW it all works fine for my other daughter.)

    if you own the java edition then you would need to but the bedrock edition on console, java edition id pc only, but you would need to buy the bedrock edition for each platform you want it on.

    No, you needed to have owned bedrock edition or java edition on PC to get one either. Java edition is only available on PC too.
