Xbox controller shuts down after a while.

I usually play online games with keyboard and mouse on my series x device, after a while the controller turns itself off and I get a big notification telling me to connect a controller. Is there any way to prevent this? All my usb ports are connected and I don't have another usb port to connect the controller, how do I solve this?

No, there is no way to prevent it. It's an energy saving feature.

Controller still freezes even after my attempt to fix it but my xbox has stopped getting stuck while shutting down.. But it will probably happen again.

Someone posted a similar problem a while back. It seems it was the shut down preferences that were set. They had their system set to shut down after a certain amount of non use time. When their wireless controller shut off (during the movie) the console
recognized that as not in use and proceeded with the shut down.

Perhaps take a look at your preferences and see if you have it set up to shut down after an amount of time. If so, either increase the time or turn the auto shut down off.

I'm not sure I understand what the issue is...? When you say "not launching anymore", are you saying the Xbox no longer boots up? Or, when you say "after a while it shut down", are you saying it is randomly shutting down (powers off)? Or, is this a problem
with the controller connecting and staying connected to the Xbox?

I read through the different articles linked on that page and only found one mention of the controller shutting off. In the "Your Xbox Wireless Controller Shuts Down" article, it says that the controller is designed to shut down after 15 minutes to conserve
batteries. This isn't the low-power state I'm referring to. The old 360 controller did this.
