Yes, this is a little annoying to me as well. I purchased an Xbox One controller to use with my PC, and the light is super annoying when plugged in. When I unplugged it from the USB cable, it flashed for a bit, but then stopped. I wonder if there's any
way to turn off the controller when it's unplugged from USB and on battery? Or does it automatically sleep when not connected to an Xbox system or PC?

Four red flashing lights means the something is wrong with the video cable. You can get this if you unplug the video cable and turn on the xbox.
