You go to the Accounting Book at your Manor or a General Store. The left option allows you to buy goods from people on your Homestead to either directly sell through convoys or craft into better goods which will yield a higher profit. The middle option is
crafting, you need to unlock Recipes to craft items which can be gained mostly by opening treasure chests but also by doing some missions. You also need to get as many Artisans as possible by doing Homestead Missions which will be spread across every map.
You scroll through your Recipes looking at what you can craft, then look at what Resources you need to craft that item. Then buy those resources and craft the item if your Artisan is high enough level for that recipe. Once you have your items, you go to the
right option which is convoys and you select what items to put on the convoy, then you select which merchant to send those items to. Each merchant will pay a different price and your convoy will encounter more or less risk by going to that merchant. Regardless
of the profit I try to send convoys to merchants that have the lowest risk. Once you send the convoy a certain amount of time will pass before they either succeed and you get paid, or they run into trouble and you either have to go help them or they get destroyed.
There are recipes for crafting new convoys and expanding the convoys' capacities as well.

I think set items have to be crafted after you find the recipe that is, they are kinda rare I ve found one set verses about a dozen or so epics.

I am getting Minecraft on XBLA on release day! I love how they added the recipes for everything instead of having to remember, figure out through experimentation, or google crafting recipes.

Terraria is every bit as good as you've heard.The amount of time it takes just to get the materials to craft weapons is crazy.And without good weapons you will not stand a chance vs.the boss monsters.The musical score is excellent and the sound effects even
better.There is an incredible variety of crafting items,decorations and weapons to be found,recipes that lead to more recipes and ways to kill enemies.Very high replay value.
