My Passwordless account can't access Xbox 360

I've been with xbox since 2010, and currently own 4 consoles, one of them being an Xbox 360 (my first xbox console)

And last year i decided that, for security reasons it was best to use the Microsoft Autenticator app to sign in, making my account "passwordless".

I reside in the UK, where i have my series S and X, but my 360 is in Portugal back at my parents home, and ever since i made my account passwordless, i can't login to it on my 360! It constantly asks me for a password (that i do not have) and if i use the one-time password on the Autenticator app, it gives me an error message (code8015D000).

The worst of all is.. that on my series X and S, all my Xbox 360 backwards compatible games are UNPLAYABLE too! Since it asks me to login as if i was on my 360.. even if im already logged in on my account on the Series consoles.. again, asking me for a password that doesn not exist!

I even tried to make my account have a password again, created a password, tried to login, and nothing!

I never in 15 years had any issues, but it's kind of silly that ALL MY GAMES that i payed for and had for ages are all now, unplayable.

Hello MotaKCK, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

More than likely the issue here is due to the authenticator. Please log in to https://account.microsoft.com with the account then click on the Security tab and be sure to turn of Two Factor Authentication for the account. Also make sure that the password is less than 13 characters then delete the account from the 360 console and try redownloading it.

Hello Zu, actually in these cases it is not possible to recover your account without having access to the phone number that received the security number, and unfortunately it is not possible to make an account recovery with 2Fa enabled.

Hi. I used that URL you pasted to review my EA account, but I don't see my Xbox profile in the linked accounts list. I used the "On EA Help" section from this link to try to link accounts: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/link-your-console-accounts/ . But, the process returned this error: "connect_error_social_login_failure".

My Microsoft account is in passwordless mode. Could the lack of a password be causing these errors?

I have had an Xbox 360 system for years and have purchased many games and been an xbox live gold member for years. I have multiple games (approx. 50) in my xbox 360 library and have not changed my account at any point in time. When I got an xbox one I
put my account information into it so that I could access and continue with my current xbox live gold account which I have always had. The xbox one did not connect to my xbox 360 online library of games that I had purchased in the past. I figured they were
not able to be accessed because they were not compatible with the new system but have not been able to access or even view them without going to my xbox 360 account on the actual console. My dilemma is, is there anyway that I can access my xbox 360 online
library with my xbox One or even access the xbox 360 online library via computer with my online xbox account as it doesn't let me access those games either.

Is it a setting that I need to change or what gives as I can't seem to figure it out?

Hello, The first thing i would do is create a 6 digit PIN on my Xbox account, I would also make sure 2 factor authentication is active on my Microsoft account. You can set a Paskey on your xbox account through settings. You can enable 2 factor authentication through Microsoft Account Security settings. You should also use the Passwordless security method on your account using the Microsoft authenticator app on your phone.
