Hello! I'm having issues with playing and downloading Just Dance 2014. What can I do?

I have the Just Dance 2014 Xbox One disc, I put in the disc, try to play. It had to update. I started the update, but every single time after a few seconds exactly at 6.3% of the update done, it stops and says "Check your disc" apparently it's "dirty or damaged", but it isn't! I've tried uninstalling and installing the game again, but the same thing happened when trying to re-download the game that happened at updating. Could anyone help please? Thank you, and bye!

You do not need to buy a new disc if the xbox can recognize the game and you have an internet connection. Check out my first reply

if the glue wasn't set properly, oxygen can enter and oxidize the aluminum data layer inside the disc and render it unreadable.

this kind of damage is microscopic

Yes you should try another disc.

I've tried cleaning the disc, not sure what u mean by "gone bad", should I just buy a new disc ?

disc damage can be microscopic and layers can delaminate over a decade.

Please clean the outside edge of the disc, Xbox discs read outside in, but it may have gone bad

what is the disc is damaged, then it cannot act as a key for the DRM

I have literally been working with such media since the inception of DVD and the problem will only get worse overtime, once air gets in, it's just a question of when not if it will be entirely unusable
