If you can access the link, you should see something like this (Screenshot attached). From there, adjust your privacy settings to "Allow" or "Everyone" where necessary then ensure the settings under "Privacy" and "Xbox and Windows 10 Devices Online Safety" are appropriately configured.

If you cannot access the link or are redirected elsewhere, this indicates your account is being detected as a child account by the system.

In this case, a parent account will be required to adjust your privacy settings.

1. If you have an adult account, you can use it to set up a family group via this link: https://account.microsoft.com/family

2. Invite your main account to the family group.

3. Once the family is set up, use the parent account to access and modify the privacy settings for your account through this link: https://account.xbox.com/Settings

I am not in the insiders program. My Xbox is up to date. I’m updating the controller right now and gonna test it out for a bit. Not updating shouldn’t cause drift though?

I had this same issue. The store has referred me back to Microsoft. I’m stuck in a loop where everyone points to someone else. It shouldn’t be this difficult.

My son can have my account, but I want it to be a child account. How do I set up a new parent account so I can control that other one?
