My xbox series x blinks and won't stay on

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your Xbox. Could you share what happened to your Xbox or your area before this issue started? Typically, this could be a hardware-related problem preventing it from turning on. You can try the troubleshooting steps below, but if the issue persists, I recommend registering your device online to explore available support options.

Step 1:

- Remove the power cable and HDMI cable from your Xbox. Remove all accessories plugged into your Xbox.

- Press the power button for about 15 seconds even though it's already off. (This will remove the remaining power on your Xbox)

- Wait for 2 minutes and plug the power cable alone.

- Turn on the console and see if it will stay on.

Step 2:

- Plug your Xbox directly to the wall outlet. If it still does the same, try plugging it into a different wall outlet.

Step 3:

- If Steps 1 and 2 don't work, I think it would be best to register your console online to explore options. I am pretty sure that there is a hardware-related issue with your Xbox.

To get started, sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/devices/select-de..., select Register new device using the 12-digit serial number located at the back, and then follow the instructions.

After you've registered, you'll see the warranty status for your device. If it's within warranty, repairs are free. If your device is out of warranty, you'll be charged a repair fee. Another option would be visiting a computer repair shop and repairing it from there.

I am also having this issue just purchased a new series x and factory reset it twice now but the box won't stay checkmarked

Thanks for the reply. Interesting, I did not know that it was "wirelessly" connected while connected to a USB C Data Cord. As soon as I unplug, it stays disconnected (in sync mode the controller also keeps blinking then turns off). If this is right I don't know why I also can't sync any of my other Xbox controllers to the series X unless connected with a cord (works on an One X controller also, stops when unplugged). I don't know why the sync button (blinking) stopped operating all together.

I replaced my batteries and tried to pull and place back in earlier with no luck. I also updated the controller as I set up as new.

The interesting thing is I am able to use the series X controller perfectly on PC wirelessly with windows 10/Xbox PC adapter. I have no problems on PC wireless.

I have also been having this exact issue on my Series X. The temporary fix is a hard restart (Hold down the xbox button on the xbox until it stops blinking). This started occurring to me yesterday.

I've tried it a multitude of ways. Looks like I'm returning this console. Really disappointed because I received a faulty One, and One X.
