Can I make an epic account I don't have one?

You can create a new EPIC account and then link your Microsoft Account (the one you use on the console) to your Epic account.

Just make sure you don't have one, since we can only link one Microsoft Account to one Epic Account.

Linking the accounts shouldn't "erase" your account progression.

After the process is complete, link your Xbox Account:

Please, enter Epic website: epicgames.com/account/connected

Go to Your Name > Account > Connections > Accounts

Select your Microsoft Account to link it.

If you're playing on Xbox One, things are a little more complicated. If you've linked an Epic account before, use that. If you haven't however, you're going to want to do that first. But don't make a new Epic account the normal way, that will just muddy
the water. Instead, go to Epic.com and click the Xbox logo at the top under "sign up." The service will generate a new Epic account based on your Xbox One account. You can then go to your Switch and sign in using your Epic account.

Are you really sure, that your sons are using different Fortnite Gamer ID's and are really connected to your one single Epic account?

Usually, both your sons should then only have one Fortnite Gamer ID.

Please check under https://www.epicgames.com/account/connections what connections are made on your Epic Account.

Be aware that according to https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-U...sole-account-from-my-epic-games-account-a3253 you can NOT move an Epic Account connection to a different account of the same service.

For example, if you disconnect the Xbox Account from your Epic Account (i.e. Son#2's profile), you can't connect a new Xbox account to the same Epic Account anymore.

So unfortunately, unless the Epic customer support can resolve that on their end, there is nothing you (or your son) can do but to make a new Epic account for the kid(s) themselves.

To avoid such issues in the future: Make sure that you make separate accounts for your kids in every game, and do NOT use your parent account to "bundle" your kids under one account.

We understand the inconvenience caused. As per description you lose access on your account on Epic games since your son login to it on his Xbox account. Let us check on this together and sort this out to assist your concern. However, to better understand we would like to ask few questions about it.

1. Did the account of your son sign out? If that's the case, then most likely his account is still login.
   
2. Can you please provide details, like what device are you using and if you are on a PC what Windows version?
   
3. Which account do you want to gain control of, your son or you mean to get access back to your account?
   
4. Is your son's account a child?
   

Just for clarification, two accounts cannot be combined as they have individual sign in and emails link to it and there is no thing such as automatic merging of Microsoft account.



To regain a certain account, just use the 'Forgot your password?' function on the Epic Games login page and send recovery info to every email address you know you've created. Eventually, you should find a link to reset your password in one of your inboxes, and then you can log in and unlink it.
