    I am trying to record on xbox game bar and it doesn't let me record anything.

    I've reset the app and repaired it, restarted my computer, looking for any other options to fix this.

    Hello reskybtw. I'm Arturo, a community user like you, and I'll be glad to provide assistance with your concern today.

    Based on the information you provided, I would like to suggest some potential fixes. Please test the recording after performing each one and skip the ones you already tried.

    A. Open a new PowerShell window as an administrator.
    Then copy and paste the following command:

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage

    Restart your PC after running the command, open the Microsoft Store and install the game bar from there.

    B. Open the Run window (shortcut is Windows key + R), type regedit and hit enter.

    Go to the following path:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR

    Click the GameDVR folder and delete everything listed there except the file that says “Default”.

    Restart the PC and try recording again.

    Looking For Group PC To Console

    Open Gamebar open Gamebar Widget Menu and add "Looking for group". Done.

    Open Console Companion and do like always. Done

    Don't open Xbox App because Xbox App is not Gamebar nor Companion.

    having the same issue when gamebar is not open in the foreground every other program can use the mic just not xbox or gamebar unless its on top.

    i do feel that gamebar is a beta sometimes haha. you can always do everything on your xbox console companion and it will work directly with gamebar aswell.
