Call of duty downloads wrong?

Call if duty for some reason installs itself (i own the game) onto my console every time it is deleted, the bigger issue with this is that, the game installs, taking up 0mb of space at version 0.0.0.0, the problem with this is that i actually want to play the game, ive tried to uninstall, redownload manually, restart, check the file info and whatnot, but nothing seems to work and make it actually install the game. I dont want to try a hard restart since i will have to redownload all of my games and redo the updates and sign into everything again. Please help i just wanna play cod

I am using the series x, there are no external storages connected to my console, and this is the only game that this has happened with

In my experience, a hard factory reset tends to be the only solution for this kind of problem, however, I understand how performing one can be a major inconvenience. Would you mind performing a soft factory reset instead?

By "Soft" I mean that none of your games will be uninstalled, but accounts and local save data will be removed from the console. This would help refresh your system and clear any temporary files that may be causing this. To do so:

- Go to Settings > System > Console info > Reset Xbox > Keep games and apps.
- Keep in mind you will need an internet connection and your account details (for each account) to sign in again.

* Note: Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console has been constantly connected to the internet and the Xbox Network, your saved data should be backed up on the cloud.
