Old account with a gamertag that I need.

You can look the account up on https://xboxgamertag.com the account hasn't been used in 7 years, I think it should be freed up by now.

If a person doesn't sign into their Xbox account in 5 years, the tag will be freed up for use. However, since the account can be used on multiple Microsoft services, there is no way to know exactly how inactive an account is. Also, since they now allow duplicate gamertags, there are already multiple people using that tag. So even if the original is freed up, you would still be given a suffix to differentiate you from the others that have the tag.

If they simply sign into the Microsoft account associated with their Xbox profile occasionally (to check their email for instance) that would be enough to make their account "active". That site wouldn't show that sort of activity so there's really no reliable way of knowing if an account is truely active or not.

As mentioned other people also have the same gamertag (with a suffix at the end) so even if the person with the original gamertag changed it you would still have the suffix at the end no matter what.

That won't tell you if they've signed in anywhere else though. It's also not an official site so the information may not be correct.

The is the new profile gamertag associated with the account and we need to remove it and replace with old gamertag.
