    DirectX errors that I have tried to fix for a long time.


    So I've been experiencing crashes in my games since about a year now. I have an ASUS gaming laptop with the following specs:

    • System Model: ASUS TUF Gaming A15 FA506IC_FA506IC
    • BIOS: FA506IC.302 (type: UEFI)
    • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics (16 CPUs), ~2.9GHz
    • Memory: 16384MB RAM
    • DirectX Version: DirectX 12
    • DxDiag Version: 10.00.22621.3527 64bit Unicode
    • GPU 1: AMD Radeon Graphics
    • GPU 2: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU

    Every single game that I have crashes, sometimes without an error pop-up or with a directx error popup. The only game that hasn't crashed till date is Minecraft, which I'm not sure why but maybe something related to it being a Java based game. Here are the things I have tried to do:

    • Updating graphics drivers
    • Debloating graphics drivers
    • Resetting my computer (A few times now)
    • Reinstalling DirectX
    • Editing the registry as suggested by the online community
    • Running the games on both DirectX 11 and 12
    • Uninstalling and reinstalling the games multiple times

    I can provide any further info/files that may be required in order to diagnose this issue, I've been patient for a whole year now but nothing I do seems to work.

    Just to confirm, going into the AMD settings to set the clock speed to the base (default) did not work?

    Please check you have nothing altering your GPU clock speed or how the GPU performs.

    Also please confirm that DDU did nothing

    When I open the AMD software, I do not have an option for tuning the clock speed. Just to clarify, I run all my games on my NVIDIA GPU and that is my main GPU. The tuning options available to me are on the NVIDIA overlay, and my tuning type is set to automatic. Not sure how I should change the clock speed through that interface. And no, DDU didn't have any effect.
