I'm trying to move my account from Xbox One to Xbox series X. I don't remember my password and the email attached to this account is long gone. So password recovery will not work as I can't access the long dead email account. I went through the automated system, put in all my information, including the console Device ID, which is like 37 letters, or more (I'm not sure if they want this or the serial number or something else, (I have it all) but I keep getting rejected). There is no one to talk to so at MSFT. I can't move over all my saves etc. over. Since all of my games are on a Seagate external HD, the games are there on the Series X, as I plugged in the HD, but none of the saves. (I had to create a new account on my Series X to get it up and running). What do I do? Any password recovery is sent to a dead email account I no longer have access to. Please help anybody. I'll listen to any method as I have games with hundreds of hours of saved content. ugh. Sorry I meant I'm trying to move my account from Xbox one to Xbox series X and cannot. (I just edited this)

I just want to confirm when did you last successfully sign in to your Microsoft account? If you have not logged into your account for more than two years and it has been closed due to inactivity, you will not be able to use the Account Recovery Form to recover your account. Did you have two-factor authentication (2FA) active on the account? If you do have the 2FA active, are you able to access the second factor of authentication? If so, please try resetting your password. Important: The account recovery form can only be used if two-step verification isn't turned on. If the feature is enabled, the only way to recover the account is to regain access to your two-step verification phone number.

Microsoft takes account security very seriously, that's why Account Recovery is an automated process with no human influence. If you don't have the correct information, you may not be able to get through account verification using the Recovery Form.

The Account Recovery Form requires adequate information to prove that you are the owner of the account. The Account Recovery Process can be a time-consuming process, but providing as much info as possible from the start of the process will increase the possibility of being verified by the automated process. You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft.

Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. You can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

Furthermore, it's important to note that Microsoft Support will not be able to grant you access to your account, you will be sent back to the Account Recovery pages.

Both Series X/S games and Xbox One games that been optimised (I'm British) for Series X/S must be installed on either the internal storage or the expansion card. They can not be run from a USB connected storage device. My optimised Series X/S Xbox One games
were moved to my Expansion card during their update.

Hello,

Yes, we are trying to move the saved games from the Xbox 1 to the new Xbox series x. We had put the profile on the new x series, and downloaded the game. We then used the local network sharing to try to transfer the same games and the digital community content from Farming Simulator 22 to the series X but cannot get them to transfer over.

We are unsure as to why the saved games are not moving over or the mods.

The mods we can just re-download if needed, but the saved games... thata the important part.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox Communities Forum. The Xbox 360 hard drive transfer cable cannot be used to transfer data from an Xbox 360 to Xbox One.

To move your data from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, all you need to do is sign in to your new Xbox One with your Microsoft account. When you do this, everything listed in the "What moves to Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S" section below is transferred to your new console.

Anything that plays on xbox one (except kinect) will play on series X. You can also literally move a portable HDD and plug it into series x from day one
