  1. How to i turn off email notifications for more screen/app/game time requests?

    Hello,

Currently, every time my child asks for more screen time or more time for an app or game, I get two notifications, a push notification on the Microsoft Family Safety App and an email stating the same question. I do not want to receive these emails and I am unable to find where I can turn off these specific emails from the Family Safety app or website. Can someone please point out to me where I can turn these off?

    Kind regards,

    Koen.

    :)

Hi Koen, my name is Rodrigo. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

I am sorry to hear that.

You can turn off Activity Reporting and only check them via the app.

Sign in to your Microsoft account

    https://account.microsoft.com/family/home

Find your family member and click on their profile picture.

To disable activity reporting, scroll to the bottom of each platform tab and turn the Activity reporting toggle off.

    I hope this helps.

How do I disable emails for more screen time requests for Microsoft family?

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good evening

You should be able to disable email notifications for screen time requests from the Microsoft Family website. Here's how:

Go to the Microsoft Family website (https://family.microsoft.com/).

Sign in with your Microsoft account.

Click on the "Manage family settings" button.

In the left-hand menu, click on "Notifications."

Under "Screen time requests," toggle the switch to "Off."

Click on the "Save" button to apply the changes.

This should disable email notifications for screen time requests. You should still be able to see and manage screen time requests using the Family app on your phone or tablet.

    I hope this helps.

Why does Microsoft keep removing the ability to uninstall unwanted applications like XBox, the Game Bar, etc.?

Windows game bar is a nuisance to me, i have all notifications turned off on my pc and with the app itself and i still get notifications from it across my screen. i dont use my pc for gaming i just want this app to stop sending unwanted notifications when
i have them all turned off

Xbox GamePass Ready To Play Pop Up In Game On PC

I am not shown an option to turn them off but will investigate notification options. It is worth noting that it is not a notification through the Windows system on the right hand side of the screen, but a separate window for the Xbox app that overlays in the middle of the game screen

    Parties on Xbox app

I have had Xbox App notifications failing to pop up a few times. Usually, it's resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the app, turning notifications off and back on, signing out and back in, or simply turning the phone off and back on.

Also double check that you have them on, both through your app notification settings and through your phone's. Some phones let you block notifications of specific types, from specific apps, or both, and I've accidentally turned an app's notifications off
    that way a few times.
