How do I play a gamepass game I bought without having to resubscribe?

I started playing dead by daylight a couple years ago when I first got gamepass, during the years I decided to buy the game so I didn't have to keep paying for the subscription, but once I canceled the subscription it would only let me onto the loading screen before promoting me to renew my gamepass. It won't let me play the game unless I were to resubscribe despite me owning the game. is there anything I can do about this?

That game is online only so it requires Game Pass Core (or Ultimate which includes Core). There's no way around that.

I find it bs you aren't able to play a game you bought on disk or digital without having to pay for gamepass

Hi! if you cancel gamepass ultimate it also cancels your previous gold since it's included in gamepass ultimate.You'll have to resubscribe to gold.

When I type in the code it says I already own it and that is because I accidently cancelled my subscription for xbox gamepass ultimate and do whenever I try to redeem the code I can't anymore and I'm just trying to figure out how to resubscribe to the subscription but nothing is working.
