    So basically I mistyped a phrase that violated the terms of service in an Xbox chat of five. This was reported and I was banned for 15 days. I take complete ownership of the first report of 15 days because it was complete carelessness on my part. The day after the suspension was up. My friends in the Xbox chat then decided to report the message which I deleted again. This led me to get banned for 22 days. After this, I informed them of my ban. This led them to ban me again, and this ban was for 366 days. This doesn’t seem right.

    Trying to add a banned account to an Xbox is not possible. Nor is trying to add an account to a banned Xbox console (ie hardware ban)

    There is a chance that the Xbox is a banned one.

    An Xbox Live device ban is permanent for Xbox consoles and devices. Even if the ownership changes, the device ban is still there and can’t be lifted. If you purchase an Xbox console or device that’s been banned, you won’t be able to connect to Xbox
    Live.
