Why i don't have option choose microsoft balance as an payment method

Your Microsoft balance should automatically be deducted when the next payment is active.

Hi,

subs and hardware can't be payed with credits from your account. That's why it doesn't appear as payment method.

When purchasing content on the console the system will ask for the alternate payment method. If you don't have an option to choose currency then it will take your currency first and then cover the balance from the other payment method automatically.

So if i top-up my Microsoft account balance with the correct amount using xbox gift cards, then click the change payment method link on the order page will then the option to choose the Microsoft account balance appear in the drop down??

There is no option to choose that payment method. The way the system works is that your credit is accessed first and then alternate payment methods (ie. credit card/paypal) are chosen if there is still a balance owing.
